AMS EVO X Clutch Master Cylinder Conversion

AMS Performance EVO X Clutch Master Cylinder Conversion w/ Master cylinder

The engineers at AMS performance have developed a clutch master cylinder that will last for the life of the vehicle. The factory clutch master cylinder is plastic, and is known to fail eventually due to lack of solid materials. When upgrading to an aftermarket clutch, they inherently have stronger clamping forces that put more strain on the master cylinder.

They have employed an AutoCAD, as well as a CMM arm to precisely measure the factory master cylinder and firewall in order to produce a counter-bore adapter plate that fits flawlessly. This design has made the AMS component to install easily, and it includes all the necessary hardware to make for a complete replacement.

Here are additional features:
•    Aluminum adapter plate with gold anodized finish
•    Sealing foam ring to repel moisture and dirt
•    Sealing area is counter-bored to fit securely against the firewall
•    Stainless steel-braided with a protective nylon coating to prevent abrasion
•    Steel ball-cup link for added durability
•    Perfect fit and finish
•    Incudes supplied hardware
•    Detailed installation instructions

Imagine pressing your clutch pedal at a stop light and it just sticks to the floor.  You’re stuck sitting in traffic and can’t move. A broken stock clutch master cylinder is an embarrassing and dangerous situation that you will probably face if you have an aftermarket clutch installed. To prevent a failure like this from happening, the AMS EVO X Clutch Master Cylinder Upgrade Kit is a must for your Evolution X!

Your Rock-Solid Solution To A Big Problem

The plastic clutch master cylinder on the 2008+ Evolution X has been known to fail when an aftermarket clutch is used.  The increased clamping force provided by aftermarket clutches puts an increased strain on the hydraulic clutch system causing the factory master cylinder to split open and lose pressure – leaving you stranded.  By adapting the factory steel unit from an EVO VIII/IX, we are able to prevent a failure associated with increased fluid pressure from aftermarket clutch kits and spirited driving.
